Arts and Cookery Bank in West Lorne
Jill attended a media tour of the Arts and Cookery Bank in West Lorne in late June. In this photo, Jill watches Ryan Watson from The Villa in Glencoe put  the finishing touches on an asparagus soup that was served for lunch.

The Arts and Cookery Bank is a volunteer-driven project with the goal of enhancing rural economic development through cultural heritage tourism.
Housed in two heritage buildings, the project is the brainchild of Grace McGartland. The renovated bank houses a variety of multi-media photographic collections. The state-of-the art kitchen is located in an old barn that was reconstructed and attached to the rear of the bank. The goal is to feature local chefs using local food from the surrounding counties.
The centre will be opened to the public this summer.
