|1 cup||butter at room temperature|
|5 tbsp||granulated sugar|
|2 cups||cake and pastry flour|
|2 cups||ground walnuts|
|2 tsp||vanilla extract|
In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer.
Add flour, walnuts, vanilla and water until combined.
Shape into crescents. The dough will be quite moist.
Bake on trays lined with parchment paper at 325 F
(160 C) until light and golden, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Cool and roll in icing sugar.
